  • Meeting minutes of the Judicial Council are available from 1951 through 2016 in print, and from 2007 to present in digital format.
  • Committee records and proceedings are available from 1970-1995, on a variety of topics. Committees examine issues and make recommendations to the Judicial Council on a variety of initiatives. Researching committee records may be part of legislative history research. Committee files can include correspondence, drafts, memos, notes, and other items related to a committee's work. An item-level listing of committee  contents is online. Select committee records through 2017 not included in the current index are available to researchers upon request. Ask a librarian for help with your research.

  • Court reorganization files from 1911-1977 for the Wisconsin Court System includes records of the Wisconsin Bar Association's Committee on Uniformity of Courts and the Legislative Committee on the Investigation and Organization of Courts.
